Fast X is scheduled to be released first in Belgium, France, and Sweden on May 17, 2023, and in the United States on May 19.[175] In February 2016, Diesel announced initial release dates for the ninth and tenth films, with the tenth film initially set to be released on April 2, 2021.[176] After F9 was delayed to the tenth film’s release date due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tenth film’s release date was delayed indefinitely.[177] In June 2021, Diesel announced a targeted release date of February 2023 and February 2024 for the tenth and eleventh films.[73] That August, Fast X was officially announced to be released on April 7, 2023.
