BREAKING: Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee

Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna for a fee of €42.5 million (£36m/$46m).

According to Fabrizio Romano, United have reached an agreement with Bologna to secure Zirkzee’s signature. The club will not pay his release clause but will instead pay €42.5m, The Athletic reports, with the Netherlands international to fly to Manchester ahead of a medical on Friday before he signs a five-year contract.

Zirkzee enjoyed a productive season in 2023-24, scoring 12 goals and registering seven assists in 37 games in all competitions.

Bologna secured qualification to the Champions League after a fifth-placed finish in Serie A but Zirkzee will instead play for United next season.
