ChatGPT CEO Sam Altman denies shocking 9-year claims from sister

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, has denied allegations made by his sister, Ann Altman, who has filed a lawsuit claiming that he sexually ab+sed her from 1997 to 2006.

In a statement shared on X with his mother and two brothers, Sam rejected the accusations, saying he offers her monthly financial support, covers her bills and rent, and even offered to buy her a house. He also mentioned that despite this, she continues to ask for more money.

The lawsuit, filed on January 6 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, alleges that the abuse began when Ann was three years old and Sam was twelve.

Altman said she sustained “great bodily injury”, severe emotional distress and depression. Adding that she had incurred numerous medical bills because of medical and mental health treatment for her injuries.

The lawsuit added the last instance of the alleged abuse took place when Mr Altman was an adult and she was still a minor.

Billionaire Altman, who married his partner Oliver Mulherin in 2024, is one of the technology world’s most high-profile figures.
