Adewunmi Onanuga, the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, has passed away at the age of 59.

Born on December 2, 1965, she died on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, following a brief illness. Onanuga represented the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State and was known for her dedication and advocacy in the Green Chamber.

The House of Representatives expressed deep sorrow in a statement, describing her as a “passionate advocate” who served her constituency and the nation with distinction.
