The executive governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu has hailed protesters in the state for “announcing an end” to their demonstration following President Tinubu’s address on Sunday

The governor in a statement by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information & Strategy Gbenga Omotoso said he has opened a new engagement with channels between the government & the people

The commissioner quoted the governor as saying: “Your stoppage of the protest today is a crystal clear affirmation of the fact that you know your collective voice has been heard by the government. What you have done is not only noble but the civilized thing to do.
