Nigeria’s Nathaniel Bassey invited, to lead worship at Donald Trump’s inaugural breakfast
Renowned Nigerian gospel artist and pastor Nathaniel Bassey has been invited to lead worship at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast for U.S.
President-elect Donald Trump, scheduled for January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
Bassey, who hails from Akwa Ibom State, shared the news on his Instagram page, posting a promotional banner of the event and captioning it: “Let’s raise a sound in America. See you on January 20, 2025.”
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the U.S. Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast is a non-partisan, faith-based event held every four years before the official swearing-in of a new administration.
Its primary focus is to provide spiritual support for the incoming government through prayers and worship. This year’s gathering will be hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria Presidential Ballroom.
