Police arrest 22-yr-old masquerade for brutally assaulting a nurse, one other in Enugu

Police operatives in Enugu State have arrested a masquerade who brutally assaulted a female victim at Ugwuoye Junction, Nsukka.

The 22-year-old masquerader has been identified as one Ugwuoke Ebube, of Enugu Road, Nsukka.

The suspect was arrested on May 12, 2024, after assaulting the victim (name withheld), the command’s spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe,  said in a statement on Wednesday, May 22.

He said the suspect was arraigned in the Nsukka Magistrate Court of Enugu State but was granted bail by the court.

Ugwuoke was part of a group of masqueraders that assaulted a nurse, Miss Blessing Ogbonna, as captured in a viral video in April 2024.
