Singer Asake part ways with Olamide’s label YBNL

After years of dishing out good music and selling out shows on the global stage, Afrobeats artiste, Asake has severed ties with his boss, Ol­amide, and the YBNL music label according to reports.

According to online sourc­es, Asake’s contract with YBNL recently expired, and he allegedly declined to renew it despite Olamide’s efforts. Reports claim that Olamide proposed a new deal, but Asake chose to pursue inde­pendence, ultimately walk­ing away from the label two weeks ago.

Giving life to the specula­tions, Asake has unfollowed everyone on social media and removed YBNL from his Ins­tagram bio.

The news has sparked mixed reactions among fans and music enthusiasts. While some lauded Asake’s decision to forge his path, others criti­cized him and expressed sym­pathy for Olamide.
