UGM suspected to be kidnappers kill two police officers, abduct former commissioner in Asaba

Unknown Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have killed two policemen and abd3cted a former female commissioner, Ada Anioma Joan Onyemaechi, in a church in Asaba, Delta State.

The incident happened on Tuesday evening, July 30, 2024. The gunmen invaded The King Jesus and I Church, situated off DBS Road and opened fire on the two policemen providing security at the church premise, killing them instantly.

After killing the officers, the gunmen abducted the former Commissioner, who is a prominent member of the community.

Also in a video making the rounds, a car suspected to be the former commissioner’s car was burnt as some armed men were seen taking the victim away with a boat.

According to reports, the State Police Command have launched a manhunt to track down the gunmen.
