VP Kashim Shettima departs Abuja for Dubai to represent President Bola Tinubu at the launch of an oil facility.
Vice President Kashim Shettima departed for the United Arab Emirates on Friday to represent President Bola Tinubu at the unveiling and naming of a $315 million oil production and storage facility.
The facility, acquired by the fully Nigerian-owned Oriental Energy Limited, is set for commissioning on December 14, 2024, in Dubai.
After the event, the Vice President will travel to Saudi Arabia to perform the Lesser Hajj (Umrah) in the holy cities of Madinah and Makkah from December 16 to 19, 2024.
On December 20, 2024, Shettima will hold a bilateral meeting in Jeddah with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). The discussion will centre on co-financing Phase II of the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) & improving coordination on IsDB projects in Nigeria to advance agricultural & economic growth.
The Vice President is expected to return to Nigeria by December 21, 2024.
