Super Eagles drop places in latest FIFA rankings

The 2023 AFCON finalist, Nigeria dropped from the 28th position to the 30th position in the FIFA ranking.


In the last international break, the Nigerian Super Eagles participated in two friendly matches against Ghana and Mali.



Under interim coach Finidi George, the Green Eagles secured a 2-1 victory against rivals Ghana but were beaten 2-0 by Mali days later.


Although Nigeria was defeated by Mali and dropped on the Global ranking, the Finidi George-led team maintained its third position in Africa, sitting behind Morocco and Senegal.

The top five teams on the continent are completed by Egypt and the 2023 AFCON winners Cote d’Ivoire.
