Two ABCOAD students die as the boat capsizes in Kano.
Two students of Audu Bako College of Agriculture, Dambatta (ABCOAD), lost their lives when the boat they boarded capsized in the middle of Thomas Dam in Makoda LGA of Kano State on Tuesday morning, April 30.
The deceased students have been identified as Abubakar Sanusi and Ado Salisu, while a third student, named Abubakar Salisu, was rescued and rushed to the hospital.
Information officer of Makoda LGA Sani Muhammadu said the incident occurred when the students were returning to the college.
According to him, driver of the canoe, one Hassan Haruna, survived the mishap.
A resident of Danbatta Abba Muhammad corroborated the accounts of the information officer, adding that the rescued student was responding to treatment at Danbatta General Hospital.
